started in 2013 with On the Road, Somewhere. This film took us across the Dominican Republic, including border towns with Haiti. It sparked a production career in our homeland that has taken us around the globe. From Baja California's deserts to Medellín's neon-lit streets, from Jalisco’s fossil-rich lands to Barcelona and Lisbon, we’ve pursued stories far from our origins, all while staying grounded in Brooklyn, NYC.

Our storytelling journey

Three people walking in a sandy desert landscape with green bushes and a cloudy sky.

Brooklyn was our crucible.

Guillermo spent long hours working in reality TV, corporate media, true crime, and musicals while Wendy completed her PhD at Columbia University. She then applied her academic and practical expertise by teaching at NYU and Pratt Institute. Together, we continued producing stories worldwide, collaborating with emerging filmmakers and podcasters, and always valuing the deep connections within our global creative community.

In 2020, we moved to Athens, Georgia,

seeking a new creative home. Four years later, we found it in a vibrant tapestry of artists, teachers, musicians, writers, chefs, bartenders, realtors, health providers, birth workers, and activists. This network of small business innovators and storytellers inspired us to create The Lightroom.

THE LIGHTROOM is more than a studio; it's a hub for creative collaboration—a space where creativity knows no bounds, and every story matters.

As we seek out the next captivating narrative, we’re dedicated to the art of shared storytelling, helping voices connect and resonate with the world. Thank you for being a part of this journey with us.
